OUR PROFILE

ESUAPIM & OKUKURAMPONG CULTURAL TROUPE
Esuapim & Okukurampong Cultural Troupe was handed over to this generation by our ancestors, in effect we can say we were all born into it The custodian is the chief of our community, so anyone who inherits the throne becomes the founder and leader of the group. Currently Nana Odum Kwadu VI is the Chief of the community, hence the founder and leader of the group. The group has performed in local and international circles and has showcased Ghana by way of culture in many schools. In the past years, students and Professors from Berea College, Kentucky visited the group. They were taken through series of workshops on African Cultural Drumming and Dancing and a tour of Ghana's Cultural Heritage Sites. On many ocassions the group has performed for the Black American Association in Ghana at Dubois Centre in Accra. Mayor of Lexington City in Kentucky, Theresa Isaac came to visit the group in Ghana. The purpose of the visit was to cut a sword for a proposed Teenage Mother's Schools Complex to be cited in Mankessim in Ghana. The Discerning Cultural Troupes For your Special Occasions.
